The Tatty Attic – Vintage Fashion Shoot

There’s no better way to spend a crisp Saturday morning in October than to be on a disused bit of land for a vintage fashion shoot!! OK, I’m sure there are better things we could have done, but we all had a great time and we got some amazing shots. A big hats off to our models Steph and Emilie, especially Steph who had to battle through the bitter morning chill whilst everyone else was wrapped up in wooly hats, gloves and scarves! Here’s a preview of the day, if you want to browse an amazing hand-picked collection of items, then pop along to The Tatty Attic for more;

Toby - Red on Blonde - Love this shoot. Love all your photography.

Out and about with a 35mm

I’ve been meaning to get this roll of film processed for a good few months now, I’m even giving serious thought to setting up a darkroom in my office and trying my hand at processing. Film photography is the reason I do what I do, if it wasn’t for picking up a Canon AE-1 on a famous online auction site a week before me and Jemma visited Stockholm in 2009, I might not be doing this at all. I’m sure I’d have found photography eventually, but its amazing looking back on it and realising how much that week influenced me. As much as I love the ease of use and flexibility digital photography provides, you really can’t beat that wait to see how a roll of film has turned out, if it has at all, and believe me, I’ve had my fair share of over-exposed, under-exposed or blurry shots printed!!

Next year, I’ll be working hard to shoot more film, especially at weddings. This is just a small collection of shots from walks, days out and some from my window;

SNEAK PREVIEW – CAROLINE + TRISTAN – [WEDDING, BRISTOL]

Its been killing me this week; straight after last weekends weddings, I was on the road to Wales for a family holiday (minus my laptop and any work!!). So, sat at home were photo’s from a wedding in Bristol that I couldn’t wait to look through, but I had no choice, Jemma would have had my guts for garters if I’d have fired up the Macbook on the first night of our holiday, which is fair enough!! Needless to say, after our return late on Friday evening, Jemma and Betsy both tucked up for the night, I decided that I couldn’t wait any longer…….

I’ll leave the introduction and story of Caroline and Tristan (they’re awesome by the way!!) for now, that can wait for the full blog post, I’ll just show you why i’m so excited about working through this shoot;
