Caroline + Tristan – [Wedding, Bristol] – PART TWO

Ok, let me just make one thing clear, I do not own a giant cardboard cutout of a squirrel!!! Tristan does! If someone had told me on the morning of this wedding that I would be photographing a guest pointing a SNES scope (lads of the age range 25-35 should know what this is) at a giant squirrel, I’d have politely suggested they get checked out by a psychotherapist! This is Part 2 of Caroline and Tristans Arnolfini Wedding.

Giant woodland creatures aside, this is part two of Caroline and Tristans wedding, as though the start of the day shown in PART ONE wasn’t stunning enough, the reception at the Arnolfini gallery was something else. It just so happened to be the first wedding reception the gallery has held, and with a 360 degree view over Bristol from the top floor, I’m pretty sure they’ll have brides fighting over this venue in the coming years!!

A big credit has to go to everyone that chipped in on the Friday, it really did appear to be a great team effort from close friends and family, and I’m sure everyone that sees the images below will agree that it was well worth the shift;

Caroline + Tristan – [Wedding, Bristol] – PART ONE

Its been 6 weeks now since I had the pleasure of being Caroline and Tristans Bristol wedding photographer, and I can safely say that in a year or two’s time, I’ll still feel as though this wedding has influenced me, not just as a photographer, but hopefully as a groom (I’ll not tell Jemma about this post, she’s just had a new kitchen!!). I’ve always been very aware that we’re all influenced by other people and our surroundings, and that people who say they aren’t (in order to sound like a maverick), are just telling down right lies. This day has certainly influenced me….

I vividly recall Caroline’s enquiry dropping into my inbox back in early July, it wasn’t a huge email, short and to the point, but one part really stood out – ‘do you shoot any film?’ She instantly had my interest. After a couple of calls it was clear she was a keen photographer herself (I could already sense a little bit of pressure!), and that she had a very clear vision of how they wanted the day to be captured, however, with this vision came trust. Caroline and Tristan couldn’t have done anything else on the day to make me feel more welcome and part of their wedding, they both seem to have this amazing ability to make you feel as though you’ve known them for years, as I’m sure most of their friends and family would tell you.

The day itself is hard to describe, I’m really not sure where it went. Thats got to be a good sign, right?! I do know this for sure, Caroline and Tristan are an inspirational couple. Not only do they have amazing taste and vision (I was a little bit in love with their flat, let alone their reception setup!!), but they put all of their guests first, all they wanted was for everybody to have a good time, and as you’ll see from Part Two of this blog post next week, they certainly did…… for now, this is Part One;

SNEAK PREVIEW – BEENISH + NADE – [WEDDING, COVENTRY]

Absolutely mental!!! 2 words that spring to mind for my first experience of shooting an Asian wedding. Having met Beenish and Nade the week prior to the big day (they have this ability to make you feel as though you’ve known them for years!), I knew I’d really enjoy spending the day with the both of them, but in terms of how the day would pan out, I never really knew what to expect before arriving on the Sunday morning.

…..the day was of course amazing; visually stunning, especially Beenish’s dress, make up and jewellery (and you looked smart as well Nade!!), however, I certainly didn’t expect to witness the majority of the guests busting the dance routine of ‘Gangnam Style’ on a Sunday evening, thats for sure!!!! If this is what goes down at Asian weddings, I really hope this is the first of many.

A massive congratulations to Beenish and Nade, I hope you both have an amazing time in Bali (jealous.com!!!!), I can’t wait to work through the days shots, in the meantime, here’s a little preview of your day;
